LIQUID PROCESS EQUIPMENT (LPE) As a leader in engineering and manufacturing components, fittings and equipment for the high-purity, hygienic process industry, Liquid Process Equipment is always searching for great people for our team.

We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team to cover our Western Wisconsin and potentially MN territory. This is a great opportunity to be part of our continued growth journey and to be a contributor to our overall success!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seeks and develops new business opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Actively calls on existing customers to foster growth and opportunity.
  • Plans and executes 8 – 10 Customer Sales Calls per Week
  • Identifies and targets potential clients within the assigned territory with a focus on process engineers, procurement, and maintenance managers, through research, cold calls, networking.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of customers’ business goals and objectives, operating systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develops and executes strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, emphasizing LPE’s ability to solve complex problems with high-value products and services.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with decision-makers: making initial contact, introducing LPE’s product offering, and developing a rapport to identify customer needs.
  • Develops and maintains key customer contacts and activities for assigned accounts using Salesforce CRM.
  • Reviews customer activities monthly with Sales Manager and strategizing ways to maximize sales volumes and territory revenue growth.
  • Produces sales and gross margin growth to meet and exceed annual goals.
  • Increases market share for the products we represent within a defined geographical territory.
  • Develops new relationships within existing customers.
  • Completes company & factory training sessions to develop product knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to initiate, develop, and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience in Sanitary/High Purity a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook
  • Proactive, high energy and entrepreneurial; goal oriented and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to develop thorough understanding of primary product offerings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in outside sales/account management

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to customer facilities for sales calls.
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs occasionally.

Pay & Benefits:

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000.00 annually + Sales Commission. Please note salaries are based upon factors including candidate skills, experience and qualifications, education, certifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other factors include the following benefits: Medical insurance is available for full time employees and their dependents through Blue Cross Blue Shield. There are various options available including HSA and PPO plans. Similarly, dental, vision, and disability coverages are also available. The company provides full time employees with life insurance and offers employees the ability to purchase additional voluntary supplemental insurance as well. The Company also offers 401K with matching employer contributions along with a discretionary profit-sharing benefit to eligible employees. This position is also bonus eligible, which is based on company targets as well as individual performance targets.
